So who was number one in the UK charts on the day you were born? If you were born after 1952 you should find the answer here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_numbe...ingles_%28UK%29

Mine was apparently Slade - "Coz I Luv You"

A pleasant enough ditty (could be a lot worse!), but I see the hairstyles are getting no better with your video, Gaz .... surely we can do better than that? icon_biggrin.gif

Well I was born before 1952 so mine isn't there.
I've always associated GLA with Manfred Mann's Pretty Flamingo, because I remember it belting out on transistor radios on the spectator's terrace on my first few viists to the new airport after flights transferred from Renfrew, but I see that Pretty Flamingo didn't actually achieve number one until 5th May, 1966 which was three or four days after the airport opened.

Procul Harem's Whiter shade of pale was top of the "hit parade" when i popped out.

Now there's an idea, Towser. How about nominating a song for your local airport ... Imagine the fun you could have with that! icon_eek.gif

ME:

The Police - "Every Breath You Take"

I looked at this a few months ago, and discovered that my gf of the time's birth song was Berlin - "Take my breath away". We thought it was a sign...

aye, and who dumped who?

It's not often I say this, but perhaps GKirk can shed some light on this.
