Anyone who has flown Ryan Air in the last wee while may have heard the tacky trumpet fanfare they
play when your flight arrives early or on time. So tacky that I just had to make a recording of it .......

ps It's a .amr file .... my version of Real Player (10.5) plays it OK.

If anyone reading this knows how I can change the topic TITLE can you let me know ?

I thought I had posted it ... started to send a request asking if there was a delay, then
went and posted it without changing the title back to "Ryan Air - the on time airline - trumpet fanfare (sound)"

I Would think they should be more worried about their safety record than their latest gimmick - following the front page headlines in the Times today:

Just looked at that Times link. See nothing about RYR. Main headline is about the letter bombs.

Are they having a laugh?

Sounds like they copied that sound from the real radio football phone in when you are a first time caller. icon_biggrin.gif

I think Flyme is probably referring to an item I found by searching the Times-on-line, about a leaked memo from Ryanair (in fact from CEO MoL). They are threatening to discipline pilots who arrive at 500 feet on final approach, not stabilised, and who then fail to go-around, and continue to a landing. Apparently both pilots to be demoted for a first infringement, two strikes and you're out. There's been two or three incidents publicised where unstable final approaches have led to rather iffy landings or low-fly complaints. I think this is Mol being seen to crack the whip in the name of safety. Indeed I think he is doing, or has already done what Flyme suggests.
