Taxiway Alpha > Airports > Edinburgh

Interesting to see Edinbugh-NewYork advertised on the front page of airfrance.co.uk, right under the new LHR AF flight. Of course this is the Delta flight from Edinburgh. Entering some random dates in May a return came to £392 all in.

Doesn't help me, I'm looking for flights to Cuba. Was amazed that Expedia flat out refuse to even search for them... US Lackeys!

From what I've read AF and DL are now in a joint venture with regards to transatlantic flights, not only do they now codeshare on all flights they also share losses/profits and decisions on schedule changes be it route additions/cuts are now made mutually I believe. Which probably goes a long way to explaning why JFK-EDI is being advertised on AF's homepage.

Sounds very much like the relationship between KLM and Northwest.

indeed it is. Its beginning to look likely that Northwest and Delta will merge, so this could be a first step in implementing a similar structure between the two airlines.

Delta plans four-way Atlantic venture

Air France-KLM and Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL) expect to receive antitrust immunity this month from the US government to form a four-way transatlantic joint venture including KLM and Northwest Airlines (NASDAQ:NWAC) .

The joint venture, in which Air France-KLM, Delta and Northwest would share profits and revenues and jointly plan sales, networks and capacity, would have a turnover of $12bn and would account for about 30 per cent of the North Atlantic market.
