Number 7 is indeed Old Warden and I can see where you're coming from with Bruntingthorpe (No4) and Stornoway (No6) but neither are correct, the Vulcan is in taxyable condition though.

Hi DJ, most have me stumped, but I will suggest Machrihanish for No.6.

Well done Alex and well done Radar, one each, still #2 and #9 to get, seems hard to believe a Trident landed on that short strip of tarmac at Perth,

OK, now that you've given some clues I'll jump in with:-

Thanks David for an interesting quiz.
I was amazed by the similarity of number 3 Shawbury to Linton-on-Ouse, obviously a standard RAF layout. Alan Mack had suggested Linton-on-Ouse for this one, and I was inclined to agree with him apart from the short runway being shown as 05/23 where Linton's is 04/22, and the absence of a flight line of Tocanos. The angle between the runways and the relationship of houses to the crescent of hangars are also similar to Linton. Just as well they are many miles apart or this could be confusing to pilots!
