For those who have not yet visited Carlisle Airport and Solway Aviation Museum, next Sunday 4th July 2010 would be a good day to visit as the usual activities will be supplemented by Veteran's Day events. Weather permitting there will be flying displays by a Jet Provost and by a BBMF Spitfire.
Vulcan XJ823 will be open for cockpit tours.
Also World War 2 re-enactors from the Victory in Europe Re-enactors Association and if you need something to keep the family amused Slater's Funfair will also be there.
Catering by the Museum staff in the "NAAFI" in B block or if you want a fry up Cafe Stobart is also open in the ground floor of the World War 2 control tower.
